Just when I think a washed up, has been star can't surprise me...she does. Lindsay Lohan has filed a lawsuit against E*Trade....for 100 MILLION DOLLARS. Her claim? That the super bowl ad with a baby named "Lindsey" is actually a take off on her likeness and her loser life.

Here's the deal according to Reuters: "Lohan alleged that online brokerage's use in the ad the girl, also named Lindsay, improperly invoked her 'likeness, name, characterization, and personality' without permission, violating her right of privacy."

In her lawsuit filed Monday, the 23-year-old actress sought $50 million of compensatory damages and $50 million of exemplary damages. She also demanded that E*Trade stop running the ad and turn over all copies to her.

In case you don't remember, or didn't see the ad..in it a baby boy apologizes to his girlfriend through a video chat for not calling her the night before because he was on E*Trade. Cut to the baby girl, who asks suspiciously, "And that milkaholic Lindsay wasn't over?"

The toddler says, "Lindsay?" before another baby girl, presumably Lindsay, moves into the frame and asks, "Milk-a-what?"

Now Lohan claims her name is SOOO popular and SOOO linked to her that it should be off limits...She likens herself to Oprah, Cher, Madonna, Prince...and other one name stars.

As for the company Grey Group, their spokesperson told The New York Post that the "Lindsay" in the ad was named after a member of its account team.

I'd say good ole' Lindsay needs to a.) get a life, b.) get a job, c.) stay off the booze and pills, and d.) worry more about how to make money from her career instead of some lame claim on a commercial that, in my opinion, wasn't even all that funny.

I agree with you 99%...the commercial is FUNNY! :) But, other than that Lindsey needs to get a friggin' life!

she's just out to lunch on this one. I mean, do you know how many "Lindsey's" there are in the world. and a milk-a-holic is supposed to mimic her problems with substance abuse? really? ugh, the whole thing just smacks of desperation.

She is the failed child star grasping at straws to make some money. what a train wreck.

Heretofore I would like the name "Abby" to be used solely by me. I shall sue anyone who trifles with my name on this site. LOL. what a chuckle fest.

btw...try and catch "Parenthood" on NBC. if i feel so inclined i may blog about it tomorrow b/c i really really dig they are dealing with asperger's syndrome on a network prime time show. good stuff.

You gotta hand it to Lindsey... Clearly she is up all night, every night thinking of ways to make herself seem even more ridiculous than ever before. This time she's outdone herself. Bravo, Lindsey. Bravo.

Thanks for the heads up on Parenthood Abby.... Asperger's is such an unknown.. I am very interested to see how they deal with it in primetime!

busy mommy...i think they're doing a good job. Aspergers is "on the spectrum" of Autism. A lot of parents of Autistic kids don't like the association b/c Asperger's kids are much more high functioning. But the government etc. has lumped all kids into the same spectrum...some ADHD kids are "on the spectrum." nonetheless i think it's great that a show has the courage to address Autism in any form, especially when 1 in 110 kids have it. Years ago it would have been taboo and unacceptable to even bring up. so i think it's interesting. My best friend's son is Autistic and so I like to see what is happening in the news, on the news, and now, in prime time when it comes to dealing with it. Last week's episode with "Max" was very moving.
